OPEN FLU DAY

Roslin Medical Practice will be holding an Open Flu Day on 
Wednesday 1st November 09.00 - 18.00 for eligible patients to come along and have their Seasonal Flu Jab. 
No appointment necessary. 
This is open to our patients who fall into the following categories:- 
All those aged 65 years and over. 
Adults and Children in "at risk" groups. 
Pregnant Women 
Carers 
If you are unsure if you qualify for a flu vaccination please contact the practice.


SPIRE


NHSScotland is improving the way it uses information from GP patient records. SPIRE is a service that will allow small amounts of information from GP practice records to be used to help doctors' surgeries, NHSScotland and the Scottish Government to improve care and plan services, and to help researchers to learn more from patient information held at GP practices.

A new campaign is underway to inform patients across Scotland of the benefits of the service, and the confidential and secure way in which GP patient records will be used to help plan and improve health care services.

Appointments

All consultations are by appointment which can be made by phoning or calling at the surgery during the above times. Time is also set aside for "same–day" emergency appointments so that patients with urgent medical problems can be seen at short notice by a doctor.

We always do our best to see patients at the time of their appointment but consultations sometimes take longer than anticipated and this may delay the subsequent appointments. We are sorry when this happens but it may be unavoidable. Most appointments are 15 minutes long but if you think your problem may take longer please ask the receptionist for a longer appointment slot. If you have several problems you may be best to arrange to return another time.

Telephone Advice

The doctors and practice nurses will often be able to give telephone advice to patients about their problems when they are free to do so. They have asked receptionists not to interrupt them when they are consulting with patients unless the call is urgent. You may therefore sometimes be asked to call back with your enquiry or leave a message with your telephone number for your call to be returned.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
